The video “Take a look at the World” (Ralph Myerz feat Annie) is out. Annie wrote it in December while she was stuck in Bergen – Annie and Ralph’s Norwegian home town. An awfully soggy city in winter time. Annie simply had to write this sunny travelogue: a dreamy escape from icy fjords, snowmen and the cold north wind. This is a sunny winter song about distant shores, beaches and partys elsewhere on the planet.
The single will be out in US, UK and Asia on June 25th. This is the first single from Ralph Myerz’ forthcoming album “SuperSonic Pulse” (DiscoPinata Records). The video is directed by Øystein Fyxe. Final mix & touch: Röyksopp. Filmed in Barcelona, Tokyo, Berlin, Bergen and New York. A vibrant nocturnal ride through the world.
Ralph Myerz explains: “As it´s 10 years since my debut and since I´ve worked with so many nice artists on SSP, I wanted to have something extra special which could connect the dots from the Bergen days and till 2013. I had this track that I thought would be perfect for Annie, so I asked her and she said yes straight away! After recording the vocals in Berlin and after I did the first rough mix,I knew this track would be taken to the next level if Røyksopp did the final mix & touch.
It´s something I really want to look at when I´m 75 years old, and think wow!! I did some crazy stuff back then! Supersonic Pulse is like my own personal musical memory scrap book containing all my favourite artists!”
The album also features George Clinton, Snoop Dogg, Diana Ross and David Banner and many more.
Recorded in Los Angeles, New York, San Francisco and of course Bergen…
